Trunk or Treat!

I love this time of year. And it's pretty enjoyable living in California in the fall. We are watching football on tv and it's snowing but it's 80 degrees outside!

I still haven't decided if I like Reagan's birthday being on Halloween but we are having a fun birthday/Halloween weekend so far! We kicked the weekend off by carving pumpkins. And when I say we I really mean Scott. He's got skills. We are pretty big fans of Phineas and Ferb around here so we had to pay tribute.

Last night we went to our ward's Trunk or Treat. My kids were pretty stinkin cute. Chase was Dr. Indiana Jones and Reagan was the prettiest Snow White ever. My sister in law kimber was kind enough to let Reagan borrow her handsewn costume.

Our ward went all out with carnival games, chili cook off, costume parade, and then inside trick or treating and the hallways and doors were spookily decorated. We got to have fun with our friends hanging out. And the best part was that Steve and Kimber and the girls drove up to hang out with us! Kimber made all of their costumes. mCkenna was Barbie, Morgan was Jessie, and Adrienne Mrs potato Head. They were darling!! Chase and Reagan love spending time with their cousins.

Disneyland!

Alright, so get ready for picture overload!

So Scott's parents know how to party. We've had many adventures with them and they're always a blast.

The best one so far has been our trip to Disneyland with the whole family this September. The whole family means Steve and Christine, the parents, Kyle and Brooklyn, Kimber, Steve, their girls McKenna, Morgan and Adrienne, Me and Scott and our kids, and the lovebirds Lauren and Andy. It was a perfect weekend to go, great weather, no lines and no drama.

We stayed at a great hotel down the street and the walk to the park wasn't bad at all. We'd be ready to go every morning at 7:30 and spent practically all the three days in the park from open to close. Well, the kids were all passed out in the strollers by the time the firework shows were over so we went back then. I've never seen the kids so tired!

Chase looked like this practically the whole 3 days.

We all agreed Sully looked straight out of the movie!

Maybe we could sell this one to Disneyland for marketing?

We loved spending time with our family. Now that we've moved to California, we get pretty homesick for them. Thank you Steve and Christine for a such a memorable trip that we will always cherish!

My Mom flew in from Chicago on Monday morning and we had the best week with her! Let's see if I can remember everything we did. We did lots of driving around Sacramento which is awesome because we've lived here since May and I don't where anything is.

Applebees nachos-just not the same as they used to be.
We drove 45 min to have Costa Vida because my mom had to try my favorite sweet pork taco! It was so yummy!
My mom is a great cook and knows all about spices and foreign food. We made an awesome shepherds pie with streak, zucchini and red pepper, fabulous! She also taught me and Chase to make hummus! Oh my gosh it is so good.

We had a few late night Target runs in our pajamas and trips to the park with the kids in the 100 degree weather.

I'm so glad my mom was able to come stay with us. Now that She and Humam live in Chicago I'm afraid that we won't see her as often. We have so much fun together and she is such a good grandmother to my kids. I love you Mom!!

Blast from the Past!

Today was an awesome day. The kids and I got in the car this morning and drove an hour and a half to Oakdale to visit my old roommate Jill. She is currently living near NYC and is here to watch her sister's kids while she's on a trip. I've been looking forward to this trip for weeks! We had originally planned a roommate reunion with Holly and Robyn, but Holly recently moved back to Rexburg and Robyn is having a baby soon and it all just didn't work out. Anyways! It was so good to see Jill and it didnt seem like it had been 4 years! I saw her right after Chase was born while we were all still in Rexburg. It was so good to visit and to reminisce about our crazy college times. She has 2 beautiful little boys and she is such a sweet mommy to them.

It has been a little bit of a struggle for me since we moved to California but I'm so thankful for the good friends I have, even if they don't live close by. And I'm thankful for the girls here that have befriended me.

Ok, who's proud of me for blogging like 3 times this week? Lol

A few weekends ago we took the 1 1/2 hour drive to San Francisco and had a great time sight seeing. We walked Pier 39 and saw all the crazies at Fisherman's Wharf. I insisted that we go see the famous Victorians from Full House. I so glad we did, its a cool view from the park across the street. Lastly, we went to see the Golden Gate bridge..I had no idea that Scott would force me to walk across it!!! I do not like heights and I really don't like heights over large bodies of water. Plus it was like 40mph winds and freeeeeezing! But it was totally worth it in the end. We had such a fun day and can't wait to go back again!

So, for those that didn't hear, last month Scott was offered a job at Apple corporate in Elk Grove, California, which is just outside of Sacramento. It happened really quickly and I was basically shocked that he got the job. We hadn't planned on leaving Meridian ever. We had the best life there. So within about two weeks of finding out about the job, we started packing up the house and we moved on April 22. Honestly, it was basically a nightmare. I didn't want to leave. At all. The job was huge blessing and something that I should have been grateful and excited about, but I just wasn't. But because of wonderful family and friends, we had lots of fun before the big move...

We had dinner at Tucanos for Christine, Steves, and Scotts birthdays. YUM!

Alli and I had our regular fabulous salmon lunch..and it was the best salmon ever that day!

We played with cousins and friends.

Lauren and Andy drove in from Utah to help us move and to say goodbye. Notice the pic of Chase tying up Kyle with the plastic wrap. Scott, Kyle, Andy, AJ and Steve my fatherinlaw packed up the truck while Christine, Lauren and I cleaned the house. Thank goodness for Alli and Kirsten who totally got me jumpstarted on my packing nightmare!

We said goodbye to the Osbornes...sad times! Scott and AJ are practically brothers. We miss you guys!!

My amazing, wonderful BFF Alli thru me a surprise party and invited all my beautiful Fairview Ward ladies. I was so shocked! It was great party with fabulous food and I'm so glad I got to say goodbye to everyone. You all have been such wonderful friends to me. I loved reading all the sweet notes that you wrote. It meant alot. I miss you soo soo much!

Sooo....now we're here in sunny California. It's not as bad as I imagined. Our town is nice and I feel safe here. We have a really nice ward and we were lucky enough to move next door to a really nice couple with a little boy.

My little mister Chase turned 4!! Can you believe it? We had a fun party for him at our new house.

Last year it was Star Wars..this year it had to BSU.

We were so happy the Robertsons, Mal, Josh, Payton and Scarlett came to Chase's party. Mal and I were roommates in college and super close friends. We were at each other's weddings but I hadn't seen her in 4 years. Now we live 40 minutes away from them! And our kids are the same age practically so its awesome.

It is amazing that Kimberlee (Scotts sister) and Steve and their girls have been living in Michigan, and moved to California one week before we did! It's a total blessing! We love living so close to them! A Disneyland trip is in the works!

Life in California has been and will continue to be an adjustment. We've been sick (literally), really homesick and a little bored without friends to play with. But I know that this is the right place for us right now and it's getting better every day. We are so blessed that Scott has a good job and is doing something he enjoys. I am so grateful to our family and friends that helped us move and supported us in this decision. I love you so much!

blah blah blah..I'm too lazy and busy spiel... blah blah blah

The Browne household is alive and well after a great summer. I could recount the whole summer with videos and photos but seriously, I would spend a few hours and then magically..it would disappear. That's how blogger seems to work for me. This may be a little long, I need to write this out for journaling purposes. =)

My little Reagan has grown up so much this summer. I can't stand it! She is the sweetest baby girl. She is sweet and friendly. She is very curious and wants to know about everything. She has recently discovered how to get into all the bathroom and kitchen cupboards..time to babyproof the house! She loves her brother Chase and wants to play with all his toys. She could care less about the television. She isn't a picky eater. She wants it all. Pizza, noodles, veggies, fruits. She can pick up her sippy cup and drink out if by herself. I'm so proud that I can lay her in her crib awake at nap or bed time if she's tired and she'll go to bed. Chase never did that..probably because I didn't know to teach him. She's been crawling since 7 months and she's been standing since 9 months..she hasn't taken any steps but I can tell her she is getting braver. About 2 weeks ago she could go from sitting to standing by herself..without holding onto anything I mean. She babbles sometimes but mostly she can be quiet. She hasn't made any real words yet. She is just a little darling, I'm so proud of her. She has a sweet temperament and I just love her! And I know she loves me too! She loves to snuggle with me and I've been trying to teach her to give kisses. This morning when she woke up, Scott walked into the room and her mouth when into a huge happy "O"! She was so happy to see him. We're so happy to you in our family Reagan!!!

And my little ChaseBrowne has he likes to be called. He is the coolest little guy and honestly, I'm getting a little teary just thinking about what to say about him. I'm so proud of how sweet and how smart he is. This summer he took many weeks of swimming lessons from his Grammy's swim school and he is a fish! He was a little nervous at the beginning but he got more and more brave each time. By the end of the summer he was able to swim underwater and hold his breath to go under to get rings. He can float on his back and do "chicken eagle soar". I'm not much of a swimmer and I'm so thankful that my kids will be awesome swimmers. He spent alot of time this summer swimming, playing with his cousins, and playing with his buddies in the kiddy pools and at the splash park. He played with Alexa in her awesome backyard playhouse and trampoline. He loves playing with the Blue kids..Graden and "The Girlies". He helped his Dad work on projects in the garage. We got a bike trailer and he and Reagan loved going on bike rides with us. He likes me to print off coloring pages so that he can watercolor paint them. Chase is the best big brother. He loves Reagan and tries his best not to poke her in the eye. =) He brings me diapers and helps around the house. He looooves going to Nursery and coming home to sing me the songs he learned. I'm so excited that he'll be in Primary with me in January. He can count to 14 and he recognizes each letter in the alphabet and can say what sound it makes. Colors are more difficult for him and we've been practicing with otter pops! Chase is the best little boy and I couldn't be more proud of him.

Do you ever have those moments when you think you were specifically put on this Earth to be mother to your kids? Like its the only thing that matters?

And my Scotty. In August, Scott was hired to open the brand new Apple Store at the Boise Town Square Mall. Its such an awesome job for him. Its like being a missionary all over again. (ok not really) but he gets to sell what he is truly passionate about. He is doing really well and enjoys it alot. I think he is up for a promotion soon too! He's also a student again! He is enrolled in the MBA program at the University of Phoenix taking online classes. He should graduate December 2011.

He's found a love for carpentry. When my friend Robyn posted on her blog about the amazing picnic table she built for her girls and Ana White's knock off wood blog, I thought..hey! I can build stuff too! Haha no way I'm a wimp but Scott realized he wanted to build furniture! He built 2 side tables for our bedroom..they're amazing. He's built one table for our living room and another one is in the works. His main goal is to build us Pottery Barn farmhouse bed. I'm so excited! I can't think of anything that Scott can't do. I love you honey!

And me...I joined the Meridian Symphony back in the Spring and I'm really enjoying being in an orchestra again. It's a challenge, I need to find more time to practice. We have two concerts coming up before Christmas..if you need a cultural experience..let me know and I'll give you the dates! =)

I got a part time job working at Old Navy. I work 2 to 3 nights a week and it's been a little crazy so far figuring out babysitters and a car to get there but its good. Its nice to make a little extra money plus a nice discount at old navy and Gap. I am an expert folder of tshirts let me tell ya!

Our little family has had alot of blessings come to us these past few months along with some trials. But we have so much to be thankful for. We are healthy and we have everything that we need. We have eachother!

I have to blog more often..this is rediculously long! sorry!

Lauren and Andy were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on Friday, March 12 2010. It was a gorgeous day! Probably the best wedding I've been to since my own.

Adorable! Lauren's fabulous wedding dress was made by her mother Christine. You should see it up close.

We had the most beautiful weather. It snowed about 6 inches the next day.

We started P90X...My Mom came to visit..the babies love their GiGi! Thank you so much for coming to stay with us. I love it so much and I wished you lived next door!
Chase thinks jam is the best treat..this has happened 3 times. Sometimes I find him eating it with a spoon. At least he tried to clean it up himself this time.

I feel like we have been so super busy lately! I am in charge of Sharing Time in Primary every week in the month of March so that has been really stressing me out, but after today I'm halfway done! My biggest news is that I auditioned for the Meridian Symphony and I actually made it in! I am so excited to get back to playing the cello on a regular basis. I played the cello pretty seriously in middle and high school and I also played in the Tacoma Youth Symphony. Then getting married and having kids made me lazy...well I'm not sure lazy is the word but I stopped playing. Anyways, so I'm excited to be apart of an orchestra again.

Chase is growing up so fast and I can't believe how he looks more and more like a little boy than a baby lately. He is going to be 3 in May and it just scares me! I want him to stay little! Right now he is trying to learn his colors and his abc's. He is good at saying please and thank you. His sentences are getting alot better and sometimes he just amazes me with how well he can talk. But he is getting tricky too! When I was putting him to bed tonight, he wanted to sleep in my bed and I said no. Then he said " I sick", then he faked this pathetic little cough! How did he learn how to lie?? Ahh! We have also been babysitting a little boy after school and he and Chase play Buzz lightyear and Star Wars all day. Chase drives him crazy by following him around and asks "Why?" after everything he says. Its annoying but cute.

Reagan! Oh my gosh I just love her so much. She has the sweetest temperament. I feel so blessed and I hope I don't offend anyone when I say this but I have such easy babies! She is so sweet and rarely cries unless she's hungry. She is really starting to use her hands to reach things. This past week she has rolled over 3 times and I missed the first 2 times! She doesn't love being on her tummy but she is getting better. She is starting to be ticklish and I love hearing her giggle. She is growing so quickly and she wear 6-9 month clothes. She has a checkup on Tuesday and I'll guess that she weighs around 15 pounds.

This week I'm on my own. Scott is heading down to San Diego for some work and hopefully it's a success! But he is in big trouble if I find out that he went to the beach without me. Jk. He deserves it, he works so hard for us and he's such an amazing husband and dad. I miss you Scotty!

4 Years of Marriage Bliss...

Scott and I were sealed 4 years ago today in the Boise Idaho LDS Temple for time and all eternity. These past 4 years have been the best of my life and we've had so many blessings. We have two beautiful children, Chase and Reagan, who are happy and very healthy. We are surrounded by loving family on both sides and great friends. Scott got a wonderful education from BYUIdaho and we've been able to work and travel in different parts of the country. We have so much to be thankful for in our life.

Scott is the best husband, the kind of husband that I dreamt about when I was young. He's extremely good-looking =) he is a hard worker and very intelligent. But the best thing about Scott is how kind he is to me and our children. He loves me and treats me with respect, which I value so much. He is a wonderful husband and I am so happy that we found each other. Scotty, I love you and I'm so proud and thankful to be your wife. I look forward to all life has in store for us. Happy Anniversary!

Chase is the king of crazy faces lately.

Reagan Eva Browne was given a name and a blessing by her daddy on January 3, 2010. Standing in the circle were her Dad, Grandpa Browne, Grandpa Jolley, AJ Osborne, and our Bishop Bakow. Scott gave her a very sweet blessing and Reagan was awake and quiet during the whole time. We were so happy to have our family and friends there for her special day. Reagan wore a beautiful blessing dress that she got from her GG Melanie.

Reagan is such a sweet little girl and we are so blessed to have her in our family. She's almost 3 months old now and I can't believe how much she has grown. She has a very sweet and quiet personality. She usually makes very serious faces but when she smiles and laughs it is the most beautiful thing to see and it just makes my day. She is starting to coo and talk back more and I love having little conversations with her. She is very happy when she wakes up, she is definitely a morning person.

Chase is a crazy man! He thinks he is Kung Foo Panda, he is forever karate chopping me and everyone else. Sometimes it is cute but other times it just makes me crazy! Chase is so so smart and he learns so quickly. He can count to 15 and he is getting good at singing the ABCs and learning his colors. He likes to help me any way he can, putting away laundry and dishes in the sink. He still loves his Mr Potato Head and Buzz and Woody. He also got a tool belt for Christmas and he loves to put all his tools in it. He has learned how to pray and volunteers to say the prayer everytime we sit down to eat. Chase loves nursery and drags us there immediately after Sacrament meeting. My favorite part about Chase is that even though he can be such a boy and a little bit too aggressive, he is so so sweet. He always runs to me and Scott to give hugs and kisses. He loves to sit next to me on the couch and just hold my hair and cuddle. He is a very good big brother to Reagan and loves to give her loves. I absolutely love him and he'll always be my baby.

Sometimes I still can't believe I'm the mother of two of Heavenly Father's little sweet spirits. I don't know how I am so blessed to be their mother. I am so thankful for my family and I'm so happy that we can be together forever.

We had the most wonderful Christmas this year. My favorite part was having my sister Deprise stay with us for over two weeks. Our Mom and her husband went on a trip to Jordan Israel to visit his family for Christmas so I begged Deprise to come here. We had the best time hanging out every day and by the end, she didn't even mind that she was like my nanny=). We made all kinds of treats and went shopping. Deprise and I are really close friends and I loved being able to spend so much time with her.

Scott's sister Kimber and her husband Steve and their girls McKenna and Morgan came from Michigan. Chase was in heaven! We spent almost everyday at my inlaws house just hanging out and eating treats. Christine my m-i-l took the kids to ChuckECheese and the kids had the best time without any tantrums! Chase now begs me everyday to go ride the rocket ship.

Christmas is definitely my favorite time of year. Scott's parents Christine and Steve made it so wonderful for us. We had really nice dinners and their house is decorated so beautifully. I love having all our family together and just visiting. I love when the house is full of cousins and its absolute chaos, probably because it reminds me of being at my grandparents house in Las Vegas when I was little.

A little update on the kiddies...

Reagan is the sweetest little girl and she rarely gives us any trouble. She sleeps really well at night time and is starting to be awake and aware during the day. She's a very sturdy little girl. She isn't chubby at all, she doesn't have any rolls but she is heavy! At her 2 1/2 week checkup she weighed 11 pounds! She is 5 weeks today so I'm guessing she is at least 12 now! I had to put away almost all of her 0-3 month clothes..so sad! I'm so in love with her and it feels like she's always been here. I love having a little daughter, I've basically waited for her my whole life=). I have always imagined having a daughter and that we would be like the Gilmore Girls. Our family feels complete with her here. (for now)

Chase is a wild man! He is so full of energy and I'm constantly chasing him around. He is a really good big brother. He has never acted mean or jealous of Reagan which I'm so thankful for. He definitely asks for more attention though! He is very careful around her and gives her kisses. He is starting to talk really well and he is very good at puzzles. He is still obsessed with Buzz and Woody from Toy Story and wears his cowboy gear every day, usually without a shirt on underneath. He likes to fly around the room shouting "Buzz Ightyear!" (no L). A cute little story from tonight: We were planning on getting a Christmas tree tonight but we ran outta steam and decided to come home instead. We didn't know that Chase was even paying attention but when we walked in the door, Chase made a sad face and said "Christmas-tree--please?" So cute.

I had a great birthday today. Scott had to work this morning so while we waited for him to get home Chase and I played and watched the BSU game. Scott came home and gave me my birthday presents-chocolate truffles and a beautiful matching scarf and hat. We dropped off Chase at his parents house and we went to Tucanos for lunch. Oh my gosh I love that place. We had the best food and the restaurant was practically empty so we got to relax and enjoy everything. Great day! Reagan is now 4 weeks old and I'm finally blogging! Having 2 kids is crazy! Of course now that she has been here a while I can barely remember what it was like with just Chase.

I still can't believe she was born on Halloween! She wasn't due until the next Sunday! So here's the story...(it's a little long but its also a journal entry for myself so sorry!)

Friday night we went to the ward Trunk or Treat and chili dinner and Chase was the cutest cowboy/Sheriff Woody you've ever seen. After that we met up with our friends Logan and Malory who were visiting from Rexburg and hung out at our house. I was feeling great that night when we went to bed. We woke up early around 5 the next morning because Scott had to work and I was feeling a little crampy. I hadn't been having any braxton hicks contractions up until then and it had been 2 1/2 years since I last had contractions so I couldn't remember what they felt like. But sure enough the cramps didnt stop and they got worse fast. Around 8 we realized that I was really in labor and we got ready to take Chase to my inlaws and to go to the birth center.

Scott and I chose to have Reagan at a birth center with midwives because of my experience last time with Chase. I wanted to have a more relaxed and natural setting and I knew they wouldn't rush the process if it ended up "taking too long".)

We finally got to the Baby Place at 10 am and I was already dialated to a 7! whoo hoo! The next few hours were the hardest of my entire life. Scott was so wonderful the whole time. I sat in the jacuzzi for about 2 hours and when they checked me again I was at 9 cm and Reagan was doing just fine. After laboring for about another hour on an exercise ball I felt like I was ready to push. I started to push but I was scared and I knew and the midwives knew that I wasn't pushing like I should. It hurt! I wanted to run away! They checked Reagan's heartbeat and she was doing just fine so they left Scott and I alone for a while so I could get it together. Scott was so awesome and just kept telling me that I could do it. I didn't have any other choice!

About an hour later the midwives came in again and Reagan was ready to come. I pushed for about 20 minutes, the hardest 20 minutes of my whole life but Reagan was finally born and it was so wonderful. She was born completely naturally and she was big and beautiful. They gave her to me immediately and Scott and I just looked at her. She looked just like Chase's twin and she started to cry right away.

I couldn't be more happy with Reagan's birth, it went just how I had hoped. Scott was amazing and my midwives were so wonderful. Reagan was perfect and healthy and born without any interventions. I feel so blessed that everything went so well.

I have so much more to write but I've run out of time..two crazy kids need me! Thank you so much to all my wonderful family and friends for the love that you've shown us since Reagan's birth. I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the start of the Christmas season! Lots of love!

The Pumpkin Patch!

Last night we went with our friends AJ and Tessa and their kids Alexa and new baby Triston to the pumpkin patch. I don't know why but this was my first trip ever to a pumpkin patch..do we not have those in Washington?? haha Anyways the weather was awesome and we had a great time, except that most of the time spent there was waiting in line to actually pay for the pumpkin.

In other news, I'm 37 week pregnant today and I am sooo ready to meet this little girl! I don't sleep at all and Chase has really turned into a crazy man in the past few weeks-I'm exhausted. Scott is working and taking classes at BSU. He has also been working very hard to refinish and paint a dresser and Chase's old crib for Baby Reagan. It looks so nice..I need to get some pictures posted. Chase is learning so much..he can almost count perfectly to 12 and he is getting really good at swinging a bat and hitting the ball. I'm really excited for him to be become a big brother..I really think that he thinks Reagan is an imaginary person living at our house who happens to be a baby and has her own room.

Last month my Mom came to stay with us for a week! It was so wonderful having her here! Chase loves her so much and it was so nice to have her to hang out with all day long! We got to do so many things while she was here. The first most exciting thing we got to do on Thursday was go to our ultrasound of our baby girl! I was really happy she was there because she was the only one who thought to take some pictures! My mom was really impressed with our plaza that we live at and she convinced us to eat at the Thai restaurant there..I was kinda hestitant but it was the best food and it was so nice eating outside. Friday We braved the Metro and spent all day near DC on in a little shopping area having Thai food again!, looking in all the little stores and walking like crazy! We walked the length of 4 metro stations! Saturday we went to Virginia and did lots of shopping at the mall and a bunch of little stores that we wanted to visit. We ended up that night in DC and did a little bit of sightseeing from the car of all the monuments and Smithsonians. The rest of her visit we just hung out and played. We visited the Temple on Sunday where we happened to run into President Clark(from BYUI) and his wife. It was so random! They were so nice and we took a picture with them.

I am so thankful that my Mom was able to visit us. We are the closest of friends and it made this summer bearable that she came! Thanks Mom for everything! I love you!

We're having a GIRL!!!

We are having a baby GIRL! in early November! I couldn't be happier! Today has been a crazy day! Today Scotty, Chase and my Mom went to this neat place called Stork Vision for our ultrasound and it was awesome. It was great that we were able to go there because I don't have a doctor that I'm seeing while we're in Maryland and at first I didn't think we'd get to find out until we got back to Boise! They had the ultrasound hooked up to a flat screen so you could see everything really well. Scott and I went in together at first to look at the baby and find out what she was. I loved holding Scott's hand when they told us she was a girl. Then my Mom and Chase came in and Chase kept saying "baby!" Haha I really don't think he had a clue but it was still cute. I'm so happy my mom was able to be there because I feel like she misses out on so much because she lives so far away!

My mom got here this morning and she'll be visiting until next Tuesday. I'm excited to show her around Rockville and eat lots of good fun and just play! I'll have lots of pics to post in a few days!

I'm just so excited right now...I love that Scott is going to have a baby girl, that Chase will have a sweet little sister to take care of and I'm so excited to dress her in pretty girl clothes! Heavenly Father has truly blessed our family and we have so much to look forward to!

Farewell to a Friend

About a 2 weeks ago Chase lost his very last pacifier..the beloved "Boppy". He accidentally dropped it over our balcony and I wasn't able to go get it because it fell on someone's patio. He looked up at me with these big eyes and said "Bop?" It was the saddest face ever. But I'm so relieved now! Scott and I didn't mind the boppy so much but the rest of the family has been giving us grief about it for months now and I just couldn't bear to just take it away. But he lost it himself and there is no point in buying a new one! The first couple days were pretty tough and Chase was pretty much on an emotional rollercoaster. We'd be watching Big Bird and something sad would happen and he would just burst into tears! In the mornings he would wake up and the first word out of his mouth was "Bop?" And I have to remind him that he lost it and that it wasn't coming back! Now he's being doing great without it and I'm so happy. I feel like he's been saying new words ever since. But I decided to post a few pics because he found a pic on my phone of himself with his pacifier and was so excited. Now all we have to do is get him potty trained and we'll be good!

Lots of pictures and of course they are in backwards order! Sorry! And also sorry because this blog is really really long but I don't write in a journal and I need to remember things! Our little Chaseman turned 2 on May 6...I can't believe my baby is two..I hate it. I just want him to stay little forever! He is the the sweetest little boy, always willing to cuddle with me and snuggle. He blows kisses and gives the best hugs. He's pretty obedient even though lately he loves to color on the walls the moment I turn my back. He is learning so much every day and I watching him figure things out. For his birthday we invited all the kids that we knew and had a Cars birthday(of course). He had such a good time! We had cupcakes and icecream and us moms had a fun time visiting. I'm bummed because I got a ton of good pics on my iPhone which crashed a few days ago and I hadnt backed it up. I lost like 100 photos! So I only have a few pics from my camera from his party. He got a bunch of fun toys from the kids and lots of good presents from the family too! He got an awesome Cars beach towel which we're using as a wall hanging in his room and lots of Cars stuff from Mama and Dada. He got the best sticker book ever from his cousins Morgan and McKenna and his Aunt Kjerstine sent him the hugest piggy bank that he can use to save for his mission! He's so spoiled! His Grandma bought him floaties for the pool and a monkey backpack(leash!) so I can take him outside without him running away all the time!

We've also had some fun adventures around DC! We've been to the Smithsonian Zoo with our good friends Melissa, Luke and Landon. Its a huge zoo, we were there all day and only made it thru half the park! The boys had a fun time and basically fell asleep on the metro ride home. Last week there was a little Mommy and Me carnival thing in our plaza of our apartment and we stood in line for 45 minutes but it was worth it when the boy got balloon swords and sword buckles! They thought they were so cool!

And last weekend Scott Chase and I went to the Natural History Museum and saw all the dinosaur bones and the animals! Chase loved it! He was running around like a crazy man. We had a really good time and I'm so glad we're getting to enjoy some of the sights around here!

Once again I apologize for the extremely long and crazy blog. I'm a spaz!

Oh a quick baby update! Im 16 weeks today and feeling pretty great! I'm barely showing at all..I mostly look squishy..its not very attractive. We are having an ultrasound on June 18 and we are so excited to find out what we're having! We have almost no baby name ideas at all! But we've got lots of time to figure it out!

Yesterday I decided to quit my job working as an office assistant. I'm pretty bummed about it but there is no way it would have worked all summer. Last year I did scheduling for the office with Chase with no problems. But our office this year is so so busy and Chase didn't want to keep himself entertained while I was at the office. Everytime the phone would ring or I had to do something on the computer..he knew that was the right time to start crying and climbing on me. So I'm sad about the money and I kinda liked being involved in the office, but now I have so much time to play and get house stuff done. So today Chase and I had some adventures! First we packed up some lunch and drove around town til we could find a playground. But when we got there, there was a group of longhaired, scary looking kids who were smoking and swearing that were sitting on the toys. Me and Chase ate on the grass and waited for them to leave but they never got the hint! Normally, if I had been in Idaho, I would have asked them to stop swearing in front of my child and to let us play..but I was afraid! We're not in Idaho anymore. Luckily this other mom finally came and she and I faced the scary kids together and they left. So after that we came home, got the stroller and went out to explore our little town center where our apartment is. We went to an awesome toy store and bought Chase a wooden tool kit..soo cute. Then we found an icecream shop and yay! It was happy hour and all icecream was half off! So we took our ice cream to the courtyard and people watched. The courtyard also had a fountain and Chase was pretty brave. He had a fun time trying to touch the cold water. So we just got home and Im trying to get him to calm down so he can take a nap but he may have had too much ice cream...

Anyways, we had a fun day and I'm looking forward to a summer with no responsibilities! Hope everyone gets to enjoy some sunshine today!

WE'RE HAVING A BABY! I'm the worst blogger in the world...I know. I am so so so excited to be pregnant. Our little he or she is due November 8 and I can't wait. I am so excited for Chase to have a little friend to hang out with. A little boy would be so great for Chase and I would be so happy to have a little baby girl. Scott has been joking about me being pregnant with twins trying to freak me out.

I'm so relieved because my morning sickness hasn't been nearly as bad as it was last time. I don't throw up very often..Im mostly just nauseated and tired all the time so I can't complain too much.

Which is lucky because we moved to Maryland last week! We are selling security systems for the second year in a row. We are living in a town called Rockville MD..its about 20 minutes away from Washington DC. Our apartments are pretty awesome..they are built above stores and restaurants..it feels very downtownish. Its kind of like living in a hotel though..we park in a parking garage and take an elevator to our floor.

My brother Dallas decided to come sell with us so its been way fun hanging out with him. I can't wait to see how well the boys do this summer(compared to last summer's drama).

I gotta run..today is the first day of selling and Im working as a part time office assistant. Here are a few pics of our sightseeing.

Ok I am so bad at blogging! I just keep putting it off and I hate writing summary blogs. If I could just get caught up then I could do those cute once a day or so blogs like everyone else about what cute thing Chase did today. But...thats not gonna happen anytime soon. So once again..here's a summary blog.

Ok first I apologize because I can't figure out how to put captions next to the pictures and they are completely out of order.

February 4th Scott and I celebrated our 3 year marriage anniversary. It feels like so much longer and that's in a good way! Scott is absolutely the best husband I could ask for. He is so sweet and treats me so well. He is the best dad to Chase and they have the best time together! Scott is ten million times smarter than I am and he just amazes me with the things that he knows. He is a very hard worker and is very driven. We have a wonderful marriage and Im so thankful for him. To celebrate, Scott's parents watched Chase so we could go out to dinner. We went to this fancy restaurant on the river that Scott had gone to for prom or something. So we get to our very fancy table and look at the menu and the most inexpensive thing is mac and cheese for $14.00. Yeah right..haha so we quietly snuck out the back door before our waiter could come! We were so embarrassed but I wanted really good food! We ended up going to Carinos and had the best time! Bowtie Festival! Yum!

The next day Chase and I flew home to UP to spend a week with my family. It was the best! My Mom, Deprise Chase and I went to my mom's favorite Indian restaurant, went shopping, and just hung out. I love just spending time with them. I love you Mom! Thanks for being my best friend! We spent a few nights at my Dad's house and his wife Kris and her kids love Chase! They pulled out all the toys and Chase couldn't go to sleep because he was so excited. We also got to hang out with Trish because she's living with my Dad while she does her student teaching.

Saturday I went to movie with Kjerstine and our friend Brita. We saw He's Just Not That Into You and it was way too real! It was hilarious but it reminded me how many boys are just losers! Then we went to lunch at Olive Garden and it was so fun! It was good to have girl time!

On Tuesday Chase and I went to lunch at the Ram on the the waterfront with Kjerstine! Her friend Ashley who has a little boy and Corianne came too and we had the best time! Too bad my camera isn't very good and I didn't get any good pics! Then Kjerst and I went to Nordstrom and tried on dresses for her glamorous birthday party that I don't get to go to. It felt like high school all over again shopping at the mall. I love you Kjerstine!

I enjoyed my trip home so much and I hated leaving so soon. I never feel like I get to spend enough time with everyone.

Some good news! We found out that we are selling in Washington DC this summer! We are so excited and I just can't wait to get started! My brother Dallas is coming to sell with us and its gonna be a great summer!

We hope everyone has enjoyed a wonderful Christmas with their families! I have soooo many pictures to post of the last two months of our cruise, visiting my family, Scott's graduation and now Christmas photos, but it just sounds like so much work and I just can't bring myself to get started on that project yet! Scott graduated from BYUIdaho on December 12 and shortly after we moved to Boise. I can't believe we've said goodbye to Rexburg for the last time. (besides the fact that we still own a house there...shoot!) Living in Rexburg these past six years has been the greatest blessing and now its time to start the next chapter of our life I guess! We are so blessed to be living with Scott's parents right now until we leave in April to sell again for the summer. We are having such a fun time with all the family.
I guess the most important thing to post right now is that Chase is talking! It was really starting to drive me crazy these past couple months that he wouldn't talk but now he's really starting to take off! His first real word was "cheese", not like the food but as in he likes to hold the camera in front of his face and say cheese. Yikes Scott says thats my fault. Hahahaha but he says cheese, juice, more, thanks, and thats about it but he's doing really well and I'm really excited.
Alright well hopefully I can put some pics up soon. I can't wait to see Christmas pic's on everyone's blogs!

Gone for a while!

Chase and I have been in Tacoma spending time with my family since Saturday and we fly home tomorrow(Thursday) just in time to eat Thanksgiving dinner. Friday, Scott and I fly out from Boise to SanDiego and we go on our cruise with Platinum! We are really excited! I will be posting a ton of pics when we get back! Halloween!

Ok so the first picture wasn't of Chase on Halloween but he looked so cute in his church clothes today I had to take a picture. Chase went to nursery today for the first time! I almost had a total meltdown! He was so brave! He didn't cry at all. We got there and as soon as he saw the toys he could have cared less that I wasn't there. I went a few times and spied on him thru the window and he was such an angel eating his cookies and playing with blocks. I just can't believe my little boy is growing up so fast but I am so proud of the person he is becoming. He is so sweet and good natured. The nursery girls had so many nice things to say about him.

So Halloween! Chase was the cutest dinosaur/dragon ever! I guess Scotty had a costume just like it when he was little so I need to find the pic so we can compare! So Scott and I were too lazy to put together costumes for ourselves but we didnt really have anywhere to go so it was ok. Halloween night the 3 of us first went to the Halloween symphony concert up at the school...partly because Scott needed to the credit for FA100 and partly because I hadn't been to a concert in forever. It was really fun actually! It was based on Pirates this year and they opened with the them to Pirates of the Caribbean and it was awesome. The conductor was Captain Hook and the orchestra and the mens choir were all dressed as Pirates. So the beginning was fun but Chase lost interest pretty quickly when they weren't having fights on the stage so we were ready to go by the time it was over. It made me so homesick for my orchestra days..I really miss playing the cello.

After the concert we took Chase to the Rex theatre because we heard that they were having trunk or treat but it was totally lame so we were there for like 5 minutes. We ended up taking Chase trick or treating in the neighborhood next to our apartment complex and it was a success! Chase was so cute..we would walk him up to the doors with his bag and he didn't get scared at all! The people would answer the door and he was ready to go inside! We went to about ten houses and then went home. It was a pretty uneventful night but Chase is still little and Im glad he got to have a little taste of Halloween..Scott and I were just disappointed we didn't get to eat any chocolate! All Chase got was Smarties and starburst! We hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween!

Platinum Party!

Ok I'm so lame I know...I took my camera with us and did I take any pictures??? noooOoooo! Typical. So this weekend we drove to Salt Lake with our pals Malory and Logan to the Platinum end of summer party. (Our awesome sister Lauren aka Na-Na met us in Sandy to watch Chase for us. He loves her!) In case you were wondering Platinum is the company that Scott and I worked for this summer. It was held on the top floor of the Wells Fargo building in downtown SLC and it was fun. We showed up around 4 and sat with all our pals from our office which was fun because most of them live in Provo now so it was a reunion. We had a dinner and then we expected a short awards ceremony and then it ended up being like 4 hours long! They gave out soooo much stuff and so much money you would not even believe. It definitely makes you motivated to sell more next summer. Scott got an award for the top sales in the office( Im so proud!). All of the wives in the company got a little silver bracelet so that was nice. Plus all of the office assistants(thats me) each got a little messenger bag that said PLATINUM on it..yay. (I was totally expecting a new car) just kidding...but I thought we'd get something cooler than that! This summer was the most stressful 4 months of my life! Oh well I can't complain too much. We had a fun time hanging out with our pals and got to eat a free dinner in a fancy building. Thanks to Mal and Logan for driving with us! You guys are great friends!

Our Family Cruise!

We are finally home in Rexburg! It has been such a long summer! We moved back this week into a new apartment callled Green Gables because we have such great tenants in our house that we own here. This summer working for Platinum was a success but we are looking forward to a normal schedule and a lot less drama! Last week after we left Portland, Scott and I went on a cruise with Scott's family and Chase stayed with my Mom. We had the time of our lives! We went with Scotts' parent Christine and Steve, his sister Lauren, our neice Brooklyn, and Scott's sister Kimberlee and her husband Steve. Our cruise left out of Miami and we went to Puerto Rico and St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands. We were supposed to stop at two other ports but we were hiding from the hurricanes! We had the best luck though, we spend 4 days at sea and they were all beautiful! We had wonderful weather with sunshine and almost no wind so we could lay out on the deck. The food was amazing(compared to our first cruise) we ate so much every day. It was so great to have dinner everynight together as a family and we made really good friends with our waiters! Our one waiter Elena totally loved my little niece Brooklyn because she has a daughter the same age. She and the other waiter Chubba totally took care of us and didn't make fun of us because we weren't drinkers! (compared to our first cruise also!) There are so many other things to write about our trip but Chase won't leave me alone to type. I am soo thankful to my parents inlaw for taking us. I know it was a big sacrifice to them and we really appreciated it. We had the best time!

No Pics! Random update!

This is kind of a lame blog because I have no pictures to post! Our new mac doesn't have a place for our camera's memory card so my pics(all of Chase) are stuck in my camera! I need to go by a cord but I keep forgetting! Anyways! Just a little update, last week, Scott Chase and I got to take a little break from selling and went to Boise! Scott only stayed Sunday and Monday but Chase and I got to stay til Friday! We had such a good time! Sunday we took family pictures by the pool and I can't wait to see how they turned out! Chase was such a ham and Scott wore bright pink! They will be cute! Scott's sister Kimberlee and her little girls McKenna and Morgan were visiting from Michigan so Chase got to play with cousins all week! Tuesday we took advantage of Lauren's discount at Roaring Springs(water park) and played all day! It was so much fun with all the little kids in the wave pool and the lazy river. It was a great day! I also got to spend time with Tessa AJ and beautiful Alexa! She is so precious! Me and Chase also went to lunch with Livi, Tyann and Aaron and had a great time catching up. All in all, it was such a fun week, I love going back to Boise whenever we can. Scotts parents Christine and Steve always make sure we have a fun time.

So now we're back in Wilsonville and of course, as soon as Chase and I got home, the office decided to sell in a few cities that are like over an hour away so Scott is staying in a hotel all week so Im all alone! Luckily, Ive made friends with all the wives here and we keep eachother company all day! Chase loves them and its so nice to have other girls around because Chase gets so bored with me!

Chase is walking like crazy now and climbing all over everything. He has probably six teeth but no talking yet! I can't take waiting anymore for him to say Ma Ma!

Chase has been taking steps here and there for the past 3 weeks or so but lately he has been trying to walk all by himself. His favorite toy lately is a highlighter and it works as a good bribe! And please ignore the fact that I was letting him put that marker lid in his mouth!

So I totally snapped the rubber band on his Elmo hat while trying to put it on him. I swear he's never cried so hard..I was almost crying. Way to ruin the moment.

He recovered..we sang Happy Birthday and he finally got his cupcake. He is such a sweetheart...I can't imagine my life without him.

I can't believe my baby is a year old! I feel like he was seriously born yesterday..I hate that hes growing up so fast. We had the best day...My Mom and my sister Deprise drove down from Tacoma to spend the day with us. Scott went to Portland early to take the DAT (for applying to dental school later this month)..that was scary..but he did really well and he's happy with his score. I had to work a few hours while my Mom and Deprise played with Chase and made treats. When Scotty and I got home we had cupcakes and opened presents. Chase had so much fun eating his cupcake. Mom and Deprise got him an awesome to toy that he can ride or push..it kinda looks like a lawn mower...its so cute! He will be walking in no time! He got a cute outfit and some new pjs too. I have to go now because Chase won't stop trying to attack the computer while I type. I will try to get some video up of the drama right before we sang happy birthday!

Our Trip To Cannon Beach

So we're finally here. This is a picture of us in front of our new house (apartment) in Wilsonville. It is way nice, definately an improvement over our house in Rexburg. We start work on the 29th of April so we decided to go and have some fun before hand. So for my birthday, we went to Cannon Beach, in honor of the Goonies. It was the perfect day. Chase loved the sand. He really enjoyed digging his toes in the sand. We stayed until the sun went down and then came home. That is all I have to say about that.

This week while I was staying at my mom's house, my best friend from high school Kjerstine came to hang out with me and Chase. She brought us such cute presents! She got Chase his first skater hoodie and the cutest polo..hes so spoiled! Chase even took a step or two while she was here. I was so glad we were able to spend some time together...hopefully I will see her alot this summer while we are in Portland. She is awesome and I'm so thankful for her friendship!

So even though things have been crazy and our house is a disaster because of all the boxes and bags to DI, we took some time this weekend to go to Utah! We left Friday afternoon after Scott done with class and drove to Salt Lake. My aunt Mary Norma was nice enough to watch Chase for us and we went to the Jazz vs. Spurs game. So we get there around 6:45 because our tickets said the game started at 7. It seemed strange that there we no people outside at all and we didn't have to wait in line to get in...yeah we showed up about two minutes before half time! Our tickets had been printed wrong..Maybe the site we bought them from is shady or something..who knows. We were ticked but it ended up being a fun game..our seats were closer than we thought they would be and of course the Jazz won! After the game because it was so early we walked down to the Gateway Mall to window shop, then took the Trax back to my aunts to get Chase. We stayed at the downtown Sheraton and really enjoyed it. Saturday we went with our friends Kapri and Jeff to visit a dentist that Scott and Jeff had shadowed on their trip to Nicaragua..he had a beautiful home in Sandy and you could tell that he had a sucessful practice..someday! Then the five of us went to our favorite restaurant..Rodizios! Its a brazilian barbeque restaurant at Trolley Square...it was great. Then we came home and now we're back to packing! One week left til we take off for Boise and then Portland for the summer! Sorry this was a long blog...

We're moving!

No, No, we didn't sell the house. But we are moving to Portland for the summer. We are going against all our former beliefs about summer selling programs and we decided to sign up with Platinum Securities and we're so excited! Scott needs a break from school, we definitely need a break from the house and Rexburg, and it will be nice to make a little money this summer. I'm super bummed because I was really looking forward to taking Chase to the splash park by our house this summer, it would have been so fun with all his little pals. Plus he will have his first birthday while we are there so we can't have his friends over for a party. BUT! We will only living about two hours from my family in Washington so thats awesome, we never get to see them. I think I'm a little more excited than Scott about going, but then again, Im not the one who will be selling door to door all day every day. Poor guy, what a trooper. I'm sure he will be really sucessful. So we are renting our upstairs of house if anyone needs a place this summer. We are leaving at the end of April and will be there til the end of August, and then we go on our cruise with Scotts family...sooo excited.

Family Weekend

This past weekend my Mom and my sister Deprise flew into Salt Lake and they spent the weekend with us! We had the best time. Thursday, We took Deprise to the two-story Forever 21 at the Gateway mall and window shopped. It was pretty warm and we had a great day. Then we went to West Valley to visit our Grandma and our cousins. We hadnt been to their house in years and all the kids were all grown up..it was way fun. We took a four generation picture of my Grandma, my mom, Chase and me. Friday, I had to work all day so my mom and Deprise played with Chase all day. Saturday we waited for Scotty to get home and then we drove to Idaho Falls and went all over, the mall, Target, the exciting shopping that IF has to offer. Sunday we went to church and chilled. Monday I was really sad to drive them back to SLC, they had to fly out pretty early. After I dropped them off, Chase and I drove to Provo to visit my cousin Crystal and her new baby girl Alana. She is so beautiful! The crazy thing was that she lives in the same apartment building that we lived in as little kids when my dad went to BYU. I was so shocked as I pulled up to the address...out of all the apartments in Provo. What are the odds??? Anyways...I was so happy to have them visit..I feel so sad that I never get to see them, especially Deprise. Love you!

Another awesome thing happened today. My mom always tells me when I'm freaking out about something bad that is going on to just wait for a blessing, and I always learn my lesson. For the few yucky things that happened today, good things happened also. The cars had problems, but I got to spend more time today with Scott than I usually do, driving around getting a new battery and such. Anyways, Scotts mom Christine sent us a Valentines Day package in the mail. She sent me a beautiful sweater (from the Gap of course), a gift card to Applebees and the cutest pjs for Chase. It totally made my day. I need to remember all the blessings we have in our lives everyday.

Chase is like a puppy

I know this looks gross that I was letting him chew on my shoe but he was having so much fun when I tried to pull it away. Chase loves my shoes! He always gets in my shoe tub when we're in our room. He cracks me up. Today started out a really bad day with my car dying on the way to take Chase to Paige's so I could go to work. Luckily, it died less than one block from our house so I could walk us home. I was so worried that it had a serious problem, but Scott was able to start it right up..thats why a ten year old Jetta and the cold weather are not a good mix. But! After the Jetta started running we were ambitious enough to go and get the Jeep fixed also so we have two running cars again.

We also found out today that our buyer who made an offer on the house about a month ago can't get financing so we're back to square one. But we are showing the house this wednesday so we'll see. I just cant let myself get down about it....

Scott has the night off so hopefully we can do something fun tonight!

So we (well I mean I) decided to give in and start a blog. I guess having every moment of Chase's life in pictures on Facebook isn't enough. Anyone who knows me well enough knows I'm not the most creative person so I apologize if this blog looks like a disaster area!

Scott and I celebrated our two-year anniversary on Feb. 4th. Katy and Taylor babysat Chase and we got to go out. We had dinner at Applebees and went to see Cloverfield at the Rex (yeah, obvious name for hangout place in Rexburg.) I don't recommed watching that movie on a full stomach of fettucini alfredo. I almost lost it like five times, sorry, gross I know. I just get motion sickness really easily. But besides almost losing it, we had a great date. I can't believe we've been married for two years.
This semester Scott is a busy man, trying to get A's in O-chem and Bio while preparing to take the DAT (test to apply to dental school) in April. If he gets the score that he needs, he will apply to a large list of dental schools on May 15.
Our house has been on the market since Jan 2007 and we finally had an offer made this past month, but we aren't sure how serious the buyer is. Please pray for us that our house will get sold soon!
I gotta go, Chase is having a meltdown!
